Enter the whimsical world of Andy Warhol!

A cheerful app is born through the collaboration between the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and Bugaboo. This interactive adaptation of Andy Warhol’s ‘So’ book, explores the concept of the ‘So’ series and invites children to discover what happens inside the ‘So’ animations. That discovery starts when touching objects on the different pages, such as making dogs grow, eating spaghetti and letting fish jump out of the water. There’s no right or wrong, it’s purely about discovering Andy Warhol’s world in a playful graphical way.

Andy Warhol is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th Century. Best known for his images of soup cans and celebrities, Warhol worked for years as a commercial illustrator before becoming famous. During those years, Andy Warhol created many hand drawn personal pieces.

One of his most playful projects is his So Series of illustrations which explore the concept of ‘So,’ including You Are So Big, You Are So Small, So Sweet, and I Love You So. Filled with sweet phrases that will enthrall parents and children alike, Warhol’s So Many Stars is a terrific introduction to an iconic modern artist. These illustrations are bundled in a unique ‘So’ book for children.

Andy Warhol’s innovative approach to art proved an inspiration for Bugaboo, the mobility design company, which itself is driven by a passion for innovation. In May 2013 Bugaboo and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts began their multi-year creative collaboration with the spring launch of Warhol-inspired stroller accessories. The collaboration celebrates the artist’s love for children’s inquisitive and creative minds and his ability to create timeless work that transcends any age or time period.

Revenue generated by the sale of the app will contribute generously to The Andy Warhol Foundation’s endowment from which it distributes grants in support of contemporary art.
